About Us
Our Story
Little Arms Studios was founded in 2012 by Kyle Bishop, Stewart VanBuren, and Alex Estep. These three friends met at George Mason University in the Computer Game Design program. Originally, Little Arms started developing a video game that was never released. Along the way, Little Arms was contracted by Prince William County Fire and Rescue to develop IVIS (Interactive Virtual Incident Simulator) to assist in incident command response and collaboration. This marked a shift from video game development to simulation and general software development. In 2016, Little Arms released the Zephyr Drone Simulator. Since then, the company has focused on improving Zephyr's capabilities, staying ahead of the curve in the drone industry, and providing the best possible training experience to all levels of drone pilots.

Why "Little Arms"?
We are a company full of dinosaur lovers! Kyle, the original dinosaur fanatic, started the LLC in his senior year at college and was inspired by the movie "Meet the Robinsons." Specifically the scene in which the T-Rex says "I have a big head and little arms." Thus "Little Arms" and our mascot, Toothy, was born.
